Accessibility statement

How we make this website usable for everyone, and how to tell us when something does not work.

WindNext wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard only, zoom or other assistive technology.

Legal status

The European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882), implemented in Slovenia by the Act on the Accessibility of Products and Services for Persons with Disabilities (ZDPSI), has applied since 28 June 2025. WindNext is a microenterprise providing services, so it is exempt from the Act's accessibility requirements. We still aim to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA and publish this statement voluntarily.

Our target

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, the level referenced by the European standard EN 301 549. Our design guide also follows the newer WCAG 2.2 AA where it can.

What we do

  • Text and buttons meet the WCAG contrast ratios. For example, we never put white text on our green, and green buttons use dark navy text.
  • Pages have one main heading, a logical heading order, landmarks and a skip link.
  • Everything works with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
  • Form fields have visible labels, and required fields are marked in text, not only by colour.
  • Diagrams have text descriptions, and decorative icons are hidden from screen readers.
  • Animations are switched off when your device asks for reduced motion.
  • The layout works from 320 px wide and when zoomed to 200%.

Known limitations

  • Wind farm map: the map itself is visual. You can find every wind farm and its estimate with the search box and the keyboard, and the details panel is readable by screen readers. Clusters and markers on the map are not fully accessible with a keyboard.
  • Not yet tested with users: this statement is based on a self-assessment carried out on 16 October 2026 against WCAG 2.1 level AA.
